We all have a desire deep inside of us to see and experience that which lies beyond our own backyard. To quench this desire one can read and study about distant and exotic lands; however, no words alone can satisfy this desire of knowing the unknown. To fully know something requires a learning experience that reinforces the knowledge by utilizing multiple senses. Therefore, to know about a foreign culture or a distant land, one must utilize all of their senses. Through smelling, seeing, hearing, tasting, and touching the unknown, the unknown becomes known and the individual has been changed forever.
